Edwin R. G. Reyes (1981)

Edwin Reyes came back home to the Philippines in June 2015 to take on a new role at BDO Unibank, Inc., after spending 31 years in the US. His last assignment prior to joining BDO was at Deutsche Bank in New York, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of the Depositary Receipts business. Prior to that he worked at various other firms in the US, all based in New York, including IBJ Whitehall, UBS, Price Waterhouse and Bankers Trust, in varying capacities which included heading operations and finance functions, consulting, and global business management / leadership positions.

At BDO, Edwin runs the transaction banking business. As Executive Vice President and Group Head, he oversees the Transaction Banking Group (TBG), which offers cash management services to large corporate and SME clients, as well as remittance, payments, cash management and electronic banking services (including internet, phone, ATM and mobile channels) to individuals.

He was a recipient of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award (Wall Street New York, 2012), which honors top entrepreneurs, corporate executives and business professionals of Asian heritage for their contribution to the economy of the New York metropolitan area. Edwin has an MBA degree, major in Finance, from Columbia University in New York. He was also given the 2018 UPAE National Achievement Award in Finance.
