Joseph Pangilinan

Joseph has been an entrepreneur, value creator, strategic consultant, and educator, having led private and public startups and established institutions spanning manufacturing, import-export, construction service contracting, information technology, financial services, industrial and economic development, education, strategy consulting, and business process outsourcing.

From 1988-2002, at Manilapearl Corporation, Joseph exported Philippine made furniture to 23 countries, was President of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines, co-founder of the Philippine International Furniture Show, trustee of PHILEXPORT, and member of the Philippine Export Development Council. In 1994, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, honored Joseph with the World Young Achievers Award (WYBA) Trophy, in London, UK. He is also recipient of Fidel V. Ramos’ Parangal ng Bayan ’95 Grand Achievement Award for Entrepreneurs.

In 2000, Joseph co-founded Netmarks Philippines, an ICT network systems integrator in joint venture with Sumitomo Electric Industries. From 2006-2009, as director of the Development Bank of the Philippines, Joseph spearheaded bank policy changes to grow DBP’s portfolio for viable MSME loans, to-date totaling over Php 3 Billion. In 2012, he put up Arrowhead Consulting, Inc. a strategic execution consulting firm. In 2014, he co-founded MyCampVenture.com to undertake entrepreneurship education for teens. Since 2006, Joseph has also been teaching “strategic management” at the Ramon V. Del Rosario College of Business Graduate School at the De La Salle University. Most recently, he was appointed CEO of GaiaX Asia Corp by Tokyo-based GaiaX Co. Ltd., now outsourcing the English customer service and support for six of the top ten game publishers in Japan.
