Ruel T. Amparo (2014)
Ruel Amparo is CEO and Founder of Cropital Enterprises Corporation, a globally recognised social impact peer to peer lending platform for farmers. At a young age of 22, he pioneered the development and implementation of the crowdfunding platform for farmers in the Philippines which currently has 35,000 lenders.
After graduating cum laude. Ruel started out as an Account Executive, responsible for strategic account acquisition, volume and credit performance management, and customer support.
For his pioneering work in the digitised value chain financing platform, Ruel received 2017 Best Social Enterprise (Villar Sipag); Forbes 30 Under 30 (Finance Asia); and 2016 Best Social Enterprise (Ricebowl Awards). He been invited to numerous speaking engagements including the 2018 TBN Asia Conference in Jakarta and the BSP-ADB Conference on Financing Agriculture Value Chain in the Philippines 2017, Manila.
Ruel is the 2018 UPIEAA distinguished Young Alumnus for Social Enterprise.
