An inspiring and nurturing leader and mover —
For being the first Filipino president of Woodbury University in California and one of only three Filipinos who head American universities; as a leader, he has “learned to temper idealism with the practicalities of operating in the real world;” for his ability to motivate and mentor people, whether they be his students, his subordinates or his peers; for his courage in getting out of his comfort zone and taking risks in roads less travelled; for his constant pursuit of learning; and for his commitment in taking giant leaps and achieving remarkable results in quality improvement, institutional linkages, policy formulation, cross-cultural interaction, and innovation in both the local and international arenas of business, government and the academe.

For her continued international mission of propagating the use of Operations Research and Management Science techniques in developing countries; for her moving spirit behind the International Conference for Operations Research in Development which provides incentives and scholarships to deserving academicians and practitioners who help solve problems of developing countries through operations research; and for her boundless contributions to the field of Operations Research as international consultant, writer and resource person and as officer of various operations research organizations.
UPAE GLOBAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR LOGISTICS
Joseph C. Phi

For his pivotal role in providing logistics, global supply chain solutions, contract manufacturing, and marketing services across Asia, Europe and the United States for the footwear and apparel, fast moving consumer goods, food and beverage and retail industries; for his leadership in the promotion of global standards and best practices for the logistics sector; and for his active involvement in the sharing of leadership philosophies and strategic insights in logistics and supply chain management around the globe.

Jeremias N. Paul

For his unselfish service to the government, currently as an Undersecretary of the Department of Finance, where he spearheaded the historic passage of the Sin Tax Reform Law, revenue collection efforts amounting to PHP30 billion in 2011, and the privatization of the energy sector; for being an internationally acknowledged resource speaker on corporate governance, tobacco taxation, and energy and water sector reforms; and for being instrumental in the negotiations of 42 loans and technical assistance grants benefiting infrastructure, social , agriculture, capital markets and power projects for the Philippines.
