UPIEAA Board Selects 2017 Officers at January 2017 Board Meeting

At the first board meeting of UPIEAA in 2017, the board that was elected in October 2016 at the UPIEAA homecoming unanimously agreed on Ricky Banaag, former President and General Manager of Intel Philippines, to be its new president, replacing Bing del Rosario who had been at the helm for two consecutive years. Ricky, who came into the board to replace Jody Gadia, was elected to a second two-year term. Also tapped to be Vice President and informal COO was Kenny Bulahan, who also started his second two-year term. Cilla Sugay-Sandoval, newly elected to the board, was chosen to be Treasurer. Department Chair Lowell Lorenzo remained as board secretary, as per by-laws.

At present, the four officers are supported by the following directors: Bing del Rosario (elected for a second two year term); Benjie Mirasol (elected for a second two-year term); Marton Banson (on the second year of his second term); Jop Yap (finishing his first term); Edwin Reyes (finishing his first term); Maan del Rosario (replacing Malou Esguerra, so finishing a first term); Nicky Villasenor (replacing Joseph Pangilinan, so finishing a first term). The UPIEAA Board continues to look for a replacement for Melin Plata-Derpo to fill the 11th voting board slot.
