UP BSIE Program Earns PTC-ACBET Accreditation

The University of the Philippines BS Industrial Engineering (UP BSIE) program has officially received accreditation from the Philippine Technological Council Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET) for Academic Years 2023–2024 and 2024–2025. This recognition is a significant achievement aligned with the ongoing pursuit of academic excellence, global relevance, and professional rigor.

What Is PTC-ACBET and Why Does It Matter?
PTC-ACBET is the national accrediting body for engineering programs in the Philippines, aligned with international standards through its membership in the Washington Accord. Accreditation by PTC-ACBET signifies that a program meets globally benchmarked criteria in curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and continuous improvement processes. For students and alumni, it affirms that their education is recognized not only locally but also by partner countries across the globe, enhancing mobility, employability, and professional credibility.
