UPIEAA launches IE Achievers 4.0: Now Accepting Student Applicants for Financial Assistance
The UPIEAA is now accepting applicants under its IE Achievers Program which is running on its 4th year.
Under the program, selected grantees will receive an outright sum of P5,000 monthly from August 2019 to May 2020 to help defray their monthly expenses such as dorm, meals, transportation, cellphone load, photocopying and school supplies.
Eight (8) slots are open across all undergraduate levels (incoming 1st to 5th year).
To qualify, applicant must not be under other grants offering a monthly amount greater than P2,500.
Applicant must prepare the following requirement:
1. Personal Data – full name, email address, cellphone number, present address, permanent address, number of household members, and other sources of income to cover living expenses (i.e. if employed part-time or if receiving other grants);
2. Document showing UPCAT grade (for freshmen) or latest GWA (for non-freshmen);
3. Latest household income tax return of parents or, if not available, a description of household income;
4. A 500-word essay on why the applicant needs the scholarship (“UPIEAA Achiever Student Assistance”).

Complete set of requirement must be submitted in soft copy addressed to the IE/OR Department Chair Prof Lowell Lorenzo on or before July 31, 2019 via the following email addresses : ieor@upd.edu.ph and secretariat@upieaa.org.
Qualified applicants will be subject to an interview session by representatives of the UPIEAA. As the objective of the IE Achievers Program is to ensure that candidates graduate as UPIEs, the main purpose of the interview is to gauge not only the financial need but also the applicant’s determination to finish the IE program.
Final list of successful grantees will be released mid-August 2019.
