Elizar “Dodjie” Simon, author of the recent New York Times’ bestseller “A.I. Hacked” and UP IE Alumnus (Batch ’85) gave a talk on Artificial Intelligence last 19 October 2019 at the Maynilad Room to an audience of third-year IE students, IEOR faculty, and visiting alumni.

The UPIEAA 2019 bestows the award to Professor Nestor O. Rañeses† for his significant contribution to Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, College of Engineering, Institute for Small-Scale Industries, and the University of the Philippines System as Professor, Department Chair, Director and Assistant Vice-President for Administration during his many years of service to the University.

Aphelion: The 2019 IE Graduation Dinner
Last June 27, the UP IE Alumni Association in collaboration with the IE Representatives of the Engineering Student Council, honored the graduating batch of sixty-six graduates, including four IE Achievers grantees, through a night full of food, music, awards and friends.

The UPIEAA is now accepting applicants under its IE Achievers Program which is running on its 4 th year.
